KatRisk, a La Jolla, CA-based provider of catastrophic risk modeling software to the insurance and financial services industries, acquired Gamma, a Dublin, Ireland-based company which specializes in location intelligence and property-level risk assessment.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, KatRisk will integrate Gamma’s expertise in property-level visualization, providing clients with intuitive map-based risk insights, dynamic dashboards, and enhanced spatial analytics.
Led by CEO Feargal O’Neill, Gamma specializes in location intelligence solutions that integrate software, data, and services providing a better spatial insight and data-driven decision making.
KatRisk specializes in climate catastrophe risk modeling, providing solutions to insurers, governments, and financial institutions. With models covering over 190 countries, it offers high-resolution risk assessments for inland flooding, storm surge, tropical cyclone wind, severe convective storm, and wildfire.
This deal builds on the strategic backing of KatRisk and Technosylva by TA Associates and General Atlantic BeyondNetZero.
