Cavell, a Ghent, Belgium-based digital health startup, raised €1.5M in Pre-Seed funding.
Backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth in Belgium and across Europe, both in primary and secondary care.
Founded by Anthony Rathé, Pieter Olivier, and Louis Verdonckt, Cavell is advancing a medical AI copilot that supports HCPs during their patient interactions by taking customized medical notes, translating these notes into a patient friendly letter and extracting structured medical data.
It is now in use at several hospitals and GP practices including AZ Sint-Lucas in Ghent, AZ Oostende, European Hip Center, etc.
