Astronomer, a NYC-based provider of a unified DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow®, raised $93m in Series D funding.
The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and existing investors including Insight, Meritech, and Venrock, as well as Bosch Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand research and development efforts, and its international presence.
Led by Andy Byron, CEO, Astronomer provides data teams with Astro, a unified DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow® that allows them to build data products, and power AI-driven applications. Used by more than 700 enterprises, in the past year, Astro expanded beyond data orchestration to include data observability/lineage, data quality, integrated dbt workflows, cost optimization and other capabilities.
