Poolhouse, a London, UK-based tech-enabled pool entertainment business, raised $34M in funding.
The round was led by Sharp Alpha, and dmg ventures. Other participants included David Blitzer, Simon Sports, Active Partners, Emerging Fund, and Signature Hospitality Group.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations in the Middle East, North America, Southeast Asia and Europe.
Led by CEO Andrew O’Brien, COO Matt Fleming, and Steve Jolliffe, Poolhouse provides patented technology and Las Vegas-inspired ambiance that offers guests of all skill levels an engaging experience through a diverse library of interactive pool games. The drinks offering is curated with the Venning brothers from Three Sheets.
Poolhouse will roll out its own venues, starting with a 21,500sqft site by London’s Liverpool Street Station. The company is also in discussions to expand in the Middle East, North America, Southeast Asia and Europe.
