PLAUD.AI, a San Francisco, CA-based AI-native hardware and software solutions company, acquired StarJar, a Palo Alto, CA-based medical AI provider.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, PLAUD.AI will expand its offerings.
StarJar provides healthcare AI software for hospitals and clinics. It automates document processing workflows such as insurance communications, audits, patient referrals, lab reports, and more.
Following the acquisition, StarJar’s two co-founders, Ruming Zhen and Qi Zhang, will join PLAUD.AI to lead the development of PLAUD for Business, slated for official launch in the summer of 2025.
Led by CEO Nathan Hsu, PLAUD.AI develops hardware, software, cloud services, and AI capabilities. Through three distinct interfaces: prosumer products, enterprise solutions, and an OS-level developer platform, it uses intelligence from both digital and real-life interactions.
