Ovo Labs, a London, UK-based biotech company, raised £4M in funding.
The round was led by Creator Fund and LocalGlobe, with participation from Blue Wire Capital, Ahren Innovation Capital, and Antonio Pellicer.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its R&D efforts.
Co-founded by Professor Melina Schuh, Dr Agata Zielinska, Dr Oleksandr Yagensky, Ovo Labs is developing a series of therapeutics that act on different molecular mechanisms related to egg cell division. These therapeutics have the potential to increase IVF success for women, having a potential for a large improvement in the infertility treatment since the introduction of IVF in 1978.
