Markmi, a Ghent, Belgium-based fashion tech startup providing an AI-driven markdown assistant service, raised €1.1M in Seed funding.

Backers included Wolf (Luc Van Mol, ex-ZEB), the Torfs family, and Lorenz Bogaert, Matthias Geeroms, Jan Teerlinck, Roeland Delrue, Jonas Deprez, and PMV.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the rollout of its service across Belgium, the Netherlands, the Nordics, and the U.S. later this year.

Founded by Laurent Mainil, Markmi is an AI-powered markdown assistant for fashion retail teams to make enhanced markdown decisions. Looking ahead, the company plans to evolve into a full AI-powered pricing platform for fashion retail, expanding into areas like full-price optimization and promo management.

Customers include C&A, G-Star, Zizzi, ZEB, and Torfs, among others.
