The raise included $2M in pre-seed equity financing and $8M in debt financing for Peru, with a potential extension for Mexico.
The round was led by Tyler Johnson, CEO at HFD and General Partner at MVRK Capital, Beau Woodward, Director at HFD, General Partner at MVRK Capital and WDC Genesis, and Jacob Panero, Managing Partner at MVRK Capital and WDC Genesis.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Co-founded by Sebastian Chirinos and Gabriel Chirinos, Kiwi is advancing a healthcare financial platform designed to serve both patients and healthcare professionals. It provides financial tools from ābuy now, pay laterā solutions for out-of-pocket medical expenses to a full banking platform that offers leasing and working capital products for healthcare professionals who are looking to grow their practice.
The company intends to kick off in Peru with near-term plans to launch in Mexico and expand across the region.
