Fiberdom Raises €3.5M in Funding

Fiberdom, a Vantaa, Finland-based wood fiber material company, raised €3.5M in funding.

The round saw participation from Heino Group together with two new investors Nordic Foodtech VC, and Holdix Oy, alongside a €0.6M grant from Business Finland.

The company intends top use the funds to accelerate its strategic growth with investments in research and development and further commercialization of its technology and materials, as well as further strengthening of its core resources.

Founded in 2019 and led by Tomi Järvenpää, Fiberdom is a materials innovation company that has created a new material from FSC-certified wood fibers, which is 100% plastic-free, strong, durable, recyclable and home-compostable. Its technology can be utilized in various applications in food-contact materials, durable packaging and storage, and interior design and furniture.
