Mobile Pathways, a San Francisco, CA-based tech nonprofit company ensuring fair access to justice for immigrants, raised $1M in Funding.
Backers included GitLab Foundation, Firedoll Foundation, AlleyCorp, and Fast Forward.
The company intends to use the funds to drive advancements in its Pathfinder tool.
Founded in 2018 by Jeffrey O’Brien, Poesy Chen, and Bartlomiej Jan Skorupa, Mobile Pathways is advancing a technology platform to connect immigrants with legal and employment information via mobile technology and AI. Pathfinder, its artificial intelligence (AI) tool, automates immigration status alerts, centralizes vital legal information, and provides data-driven insights. Through new enhancements, Pathfinder’s AI technology will leverage U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services data to speed up the work authorization process. Most importantly, the new funding will allow immigration nonprofits to access Pathfinder’s case history reports for free.
