Jurimesh Fuels Up €1.6 million in Pre-Seed Funding to Reshape AI-Driven Legal Due Diligence

Jurimesh, a Ghent, Belgium-based legaltech company, raised €1.6m in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by Syndicate One, a Belgian founder-led fund backing early-stage tech startups, along with business angels such as Matthias Geeroms (Lighthouse), Jeroen De Wit (Teamleader), Roeland Delrue (Aikido), Michiel Bearelle (Officient, Vendorvue), Kris Moeremans (Intersentia), Marc Coppens (Yuki), Koen Vandaele (Deloitte), Anthony De Clerck (Dovesco), Michiel Denis (Aikido, former Henchman), and others.

The company intends to use the funds to

  • Enhance its AI capabilities to refine risk identification and improve legal reasoning.
  • Expand across Europe by growing its commercial team and forming strategic partnerships.
  • Develop new features aimed at fully automating legal due diligence and eliminating manual work.

Led by Jorrit Willaert, CEO, Jurimesh is an AI-powered legal due diligence automation platform used by law firms like Andersen and Grant Thornton. The system integrates with data rooms, using advanced AI-powered document recognition and Large Language Models to identify risks, suggest recommendations, and generate due diligence reports.
