Teal Health, a San Francisco, CA-based women’s health company, raised $10M in Seed funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $23M, was led by Emerson Collective and Forerunner with participation from existing investors, such as Serena Ventures, Metrodora, and Labcorp.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its product development and prepare commercialization plans.
Led by CEO Kara Egan, Teal Health is a healthcare company for women developing cervical cancer screenings. With its at-home screening device and telehealth platform, it increase the rate of screening engagement in the U.S.
It is a member of the Cervical Cancer Roundtable, a joint collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the Biden Cancer Moonshot, a coalition of industry leaders with the goal of eliminating cervical cancer as a public health concern in the US.
