Qomodo, a Milan, Italy-based provider of a payment solution for physical merchants, raised €13.5M in Series A funding.

The round was led by RTP Global alongside LMDV Capital, with participation from Proximity Capital, Primo Capital, and TechShop.

The company intends to use the funds to drive its next growth phase, product portfolio expansion, AI integration and headcount expansion.

Founded in 2023 by Gianluca Cocco and Gaetano de Maio, Qomodo offers payment solutions designed to enhance the transaction experience for both merchants and consumers, supporting both in-store and remote payments. With a focus on optimizing revenue and supporting business growth for the physical merchants, its technology empowers over 2,500 businesses, from beauty centers to dental practices, veterinary clinics, and auto repair shops, by delivering revenue collection tools.

Qomodo’s shareholder base has expanded and includes key stakeholders such as RTP Global, LMDV Capital, Fasanara Capital, Proximity Capital, and Primo Capital, along with other prominent Italian family offices and institutional investors, including Exor Ventures, Ithaca Investment, Lumen Ventures, The Techshop, Notion Capital, Octopus Ventures, and Plug and Play Tech Center, and angel investors such as Mark Ransford, Luca Ascani, Attilio Mazzilli, Simone Mancini (Scalapay), Benedetta Arese Lucini, Kai Hansen (Lieferando), Stiven Muccioli (BKN301), Freddy Kelly (Credit Kudos), Christer Holloman (Divido), Raffaele Terrone (Desia), Andrea Gennarini, and Pietro Invernizzi.
