Hybrid Energy, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup providing intelligent electrical panels empowered by an AI energy cloud, raised €2.4M in funding.
The round was co-led by BackingMinds, Transition, 2degrees, and EIKON Capital. In addition, joining the round is also Notion Capital’s Pioneer Fund, KC/S, and fifteen strategic angels, including Ekaterina Gianelli, Louise Krogh Rindom, Jeppe Rindom, Sune Alstrup, Anders Bo Pedersen, Christian Legene, Tony Kula, Lasse Stockholm, Oliver Rye, Mickey Switzer Schubert-Suell, brothers Thomas Buus Madsen and Kristian Buus Madsen.
The company intends to use the funds to scale its commercial efforts to address demand for better energy management across Europe, add new automation capabilities to its energy cloud, and expand into adjacent water and heating controls as well, building it into a complete energy optimization platform.
Co-founded by Søren Berg, Thomas Skovby, and Morten Primdahl, Hybird offers a hardware + software solution that enables business owners to take full control of their electricity data and machines. Once companies replace their current electricity panel with Hybird’s intelligent panels, they immediately get a granular and real-time picture of all electricity usage, at the source level of a building.
Hybird is currently able to cut energy consumption by 30% on average for real estate and industrial companies and is now live at 15 sites, across several different industries, helping balance the energy grid in Denmark + reduce CO2 emissions.
