Swap Robotics, a Kitchener, Ontario, Canada-based provider of solar robotic operations, maintenance, and automation solutions, received a $3M investment from Array Technologies (NASDAQ: ARRY).
Under the investment agreement, ARRAY has agreed to provide two additional investments of $1M each if Swap attains certain agreed-upon milestones.
The integration of Swap Robotics’ technology with Array’s existing products will open new possibilities to enhance project cycle time efficiency and field installation savings.
Led by CEO Tim Lichti, Swap Robotics is a robotics company for utility-scale solar construction, operations and maintenance. In the O&M phase, Its robots address the management of the vegetation and the labor expense in the EPC phase: laying solar panels. Both the hardware and software of Swap’s 100% electric robotics platform is designed and built in-house.
Swap Robotics is currently in the process of closing a Pre–Series A funding round targeting strategic investors, including Array.
