Halcyon, an Austin, TX-based provider of a platform designed to defeat ransomware, raised $100M in Series C funding, at 1 Billion valuation.
The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners with participation from Bain Capital Ventures (BCV), SYN Ventures, Harmony Group, Corner Capital Management, Dropbox Ventures, ServiceNow Ventures and existing investors. Evolution Managing Partner Richard Seewald is joining the Halcyon Board of Directors.

Led by CEO Jon Miller, Halcyon is a cybersecurity company that leverages AI/ML Models specifically trained on ransomware samples to eliminate the business impact of ransomware and reduce downtime, enabling organizations to recover from attacks without paying ransoms or relying on backups. The Key Capture feature ensures that impacted devices will not be taken offline, disrupting their business operations and costing them revenue. Halcyon’s DXP stops ransomware data exfiltration giving organizations control over their data and providing an early warning that their network has been infiltrated and/or an attack is in progress.
