Four Growers, a Turtle Creek, PA-based startup building harvesting robots to reduce the production costs of greenhouse growers, raised $9M in Series A Funding.

The round was led by Basset Capital, with contributions from Ospraie Ag Science, Y Combinator, and other existing investors.

The company intends to use the funds to scale the production of its flagship GR-100 harvesting robot and expand its global reach, particularly in Europe, North America, and Oceania, and to expand its research and development activities and technological reach.

Led by CEO Brandon Contino, and his co-founder Dan Chi, Four Growers is a robotics startup that develops and deploys AI and robotics to create sustainable food. GR-100 is its flagship AI-powered robotic system that provides faster picking, finds optimal paths and ensures 98% accuracy in harvesting ripe crops using 8 stereo cameras. Its proprietary AI detects the ripeness of fruits and vegetables and optimizes harvesting techniques, offering a scalable solution for a range of produce. The technology has been operational for years across customer farms in North America and Europe.
