Tennr, a NYC-based company providing an automation platform for medical documents, raised $37M in funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $61M, was led by Lightspeed Ventures, with participation from existing investors a16z and Foundation Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to grow their research team and expand their sales and marketing efforts.
Founded by Trey Holterman, Tyler Johnson and Diego Baugh, Tennr provides an automation platform that works for everyday healthcare businesses looking to automate from the moment a document is received to the time a patient is cleared with insurance and ready to be scheduled. Its suite of specialized machine learning models are helping to read, parse, and respond to the multitude of complex, messy documents healthcare practices send one another.
