Stay, a São Paulo, Brazil-based corporate pension startup, raised $3M in seed funding.
The round was led by Better Tomorrow Ventures and MAYA Capital with participaiton from 17Sigma, Grão, and Ralicap, alongside angel investors Aaron Schumm, founder of Vestwell, and Roger Lee, founder of Human Interest.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the team and scale its product offering
across Brazil.
Launched in 2023 by a team of tech executives, including Tsai Chi-Yu, Caio Elias, Nicolas Frajhof, and Pedro Iglesias, Stay provides a fully digital platform (integrated with WhatsApp) and customizable pension plans. It offers security benefits, helping businesses retain talent while enabling employees to plan for their future.
Employees can access the platform at no cost via WhatsApp, and employers have a dedicated web portal. The company works directly with Zurich, a global insurer headquartered in Switzerland.
The company already serves dozens of clients, such as Cescon Barrieu, Leve Saúde, Mölnlycke Health Care, Mara Brazil, and Agendor. By the end of 2024, the company expects to double its team and increase its client base tenfold.
