Emidat, a Munich, Germany-based provider of environmental data solutions for the construction industry, raised €4M in Seed funding.
The round was led by General Catalyst.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and ite developmenty efforts.
Co-founded in 2023 by CEO Lisa Oberaigner, and Florian Fesch (CTO), Emidat is a startup building the operating system for environmental data in construction. Its platform helps building material manufacturers assess and distribute EPDs, enabling informed decisions about sustainable materials.
By using the platform material manufacturers can benefit from:
- Streamlined EPD creation: the software simplifies the process of creating EPDs, making it faster, easier, and more affordable.
- Increased transparency: With a centralized repository for environmental data, Emidat makes it easier for stakeholders to access and compare information.
- Improved sustainability: Manufacturers can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and differentiate themselves from competitors.
Emidat is working with a number of building material manufacturers in Europe, including companies in the concrete, insulation, steel, and facade industries.
