Clearstory Closes $16M Series B Funding

Clearstory, a Walnut Creek, CA-based provider of a construction change order communication platform, raised $16M in Series B funding.

The round, which brought the total amount to $16M in Series B funding, was led by Prudence, with participation from Industry Ventures and existing investors including Jackson Square Ventures, Building Ventures, GS Futures and Cloud Apps Capital Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its platform while bringing on talent to drive growth and innovation.

Led by CEO Cameron Page, Clearstory is empowering the construction business processes with its change order communication tool. Built for trust and transparency, it helps general contractors reduce risk, specialty contractors get paid faster, and teams make financial decisions through access to real-time data in one centralized location. The platform also reduces the administrative burden through automation and integrations with many construction technology platforms including Procore, Autodesk, Vista, CMIC, Sage and HCSS.

The company now counts 13 of the 25 largest general contractors in North America as customers, including industry leaders from both general contractors and specialty contractors such as Suffolk, Clayco, Barton Malow, Swinerton, Kone Elevators, Performance Contracting Group and many others.
