Nextron, a São Paulo, Brazil-based climate tech company, raised US$5.3M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Vox Capital and Copel Ventures.

Led by CEO Ivo O. Pitanguy, and CTO Roberto G. Hashioka, Nextron was created to democratize access to renewable energy and encourage investment in distributed generation assets in Brazil. The platform simplifies access to clean energy by dynamically connecting residential and commercial energy consumers to a renewable energy project in the region through a subscription service that generates savings on subscribers’ electricity bills without the need to invest or install their solar panels.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its operations nationwide and scale its proprietary customer acquisition platform to more than 50,000 subscribers by the end of 2024.
