Liquid Death Closes $67M in Funding

Liquid Death, a Los Angeles, Ca-based beverage company, raised $67M in funding.

Backers included new investor SuRo Capital alongside follow-on investors Live Nation, Science, Inc., and Creek Capital Partners. Other investors included actor Josh Brolin, NFL All-Pro and entrepreneur DeAndre Hopkins, The Chapelle Show co-creator Neal Brennan, Brazil’s largest metal band Sepultura’s Derrick Green, and Australian comedian Jim Jefferies.

The company intends to use the funds to further scale distribution nationally, and accelerate product innovation.

Led by CEO and Founder Mike Cessario, Liquid Death is a beverage company using comedy and entertainment to make health and sustainability. It offers heath products and package it into recyclable tallboy cans, The company’s newest product lines include iced tea and flavored sparkling water. The news followed the launch of Death Dust, Liquid Death’s hydration sticks and first core product beyond the ready-to-drink beverage category.
