Vocode, a San Francisco, Calif. – based open source developer platform for conversational AI, raised $3.25m in seed funding.
Backers included Gradient, Accel, Liquid2, and angels including AngelList CEO Avlok Kohli, Replit founder Amjad Masad, and Siqi Chen.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the software engineering team and its development efforts.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Founded in 2023 by UC Berkeley alums Kian Hooshmand and Ajay Raj, Vocode enables developers to build and deploy conversational AI apps faster via its API. Alongside developing its open source library and community, the company is working with enterprise customers such as Ylopo, a marketing technology company in the real estate industry.
The company graduated from YCombinator (W23).
