BeCause, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based enterprise software company enabling global hospitality, travel, and tourism industries to manage their sustainability data, raised $600K in Seed extension funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $2.5M, saw participation from Curiosity VC.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth rate to meet demand from global enterprise customers, such as Booking.com, easyJet, Google, Radisson Hotel Group, and other global marquee brands across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors, and further enhance ts solution developed to support the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Led by CEO Frederik Steensgaard, BeCause is an enterprise software company that streamlines the flow of sustainability data and creates synergies between different stakeholders in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries, empowering them to make decisions that result in positive, responsible change for people, the planet, and their profits.
It works with over 20,000 hotels, including brands like Radisson, certification entities like GreenKey, industry partners like the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, and marketplaces like Booking.com.
