ScyllaDB, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of a database for data-intensive apps, raised $43M in funding.

The round was led by VC Eight Roads Ventures and AB Private Credit Investors. Additional investors included TLV partners, Magma Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth with MongoDB customers.

Led by CEO Dor Laor, ScyllaDB provides a database for data-intensive apps that require high throughput and low latency. It enables teams to eliminate barriers to scale as data grows. ScyllaDB is built with architectural advancements that enable end-user experiences at lower costs. Over 400 companies like Disney+ Hotstar, Expedia, Discord, Crypto.com, Zillow, Starbucks, Comcast, and Samsung use it for their toughest database challenges.

ScyllaDB is available as free open source software, a fully-supported enterprise product, and a fully managed service on multiple cloud providers.
