Visma Acquires Quaderno

Visma, an Oslo, Norway-based provider of cloud software, acquired Quaderno, a Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain-based SaaS tax management platform for global e-commerce.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

With the acquisition, Visma will continue to grow its presence in the Iberian software market. Quaderno will continue to operate as an independent company, under the same management.

Founded in 2014 by Carlos Hernández Medina, Quaderno provides an automated tax compliance software platform that calculates and tracks VAT, sales tax, and GST for online businesses. Its cloud-based platform is compatible with more than 14.000 tax jurisdictions, and also contains features for tax calculations, tax reporting, invoicing, tax notifications and expenses tracking. Quaderno currently serves more than 2.600 customers across 104 countries, including companies like Podia, Whereby, Mailtrack, Freepik and Bookish.
