Antaris, a Los Angeles, CA-based provider of a software platform for space, raised $3.5M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Streamlined Ventures with participation from HCVC, E2MC and Antaris founders. The company’s first seed round and a recent seed extension were completed in partnership with existing investors Acequia Capital, Possible Ventures, Lockheed Martin Ventures, and Ananth Technologies. Ullas Naik, Founder and General Partner of Streamlined Ventures, has joined the Antaris Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by CEO Tom Barton, Antaris provides a SaaS based platform which aims to simplify the design, simulation and operation of satellites. The company was recently awarded a contract to support the US Department of Defense and is preparing to launch its second technology demonstration satellite, JANUS-2, in the coming months.
