Sizzle AI, a New York-based company creating direct-to-learner AI-products, raised $7.5M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Owl Ventures and with participation from 8VC.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by Jerome Pesenti, Founder and CEO, Sizzle AI provides Sizzle, a free interactive app that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help learners work through any problem, including word problems, step by step. Rather than providing answers to problems, it guides students through each step of solving a problem, using positive and reaffirming language to build confidence and excitement in learning. By allowing users to ask questions without hesitation or fear of judgment, Sizzle helps students to build critical thinking skills and a mastery of underlying concepts.
In its earliest version, Sizzle helps learners across a variety of topics including Sciences, Maths and more and is suited for middle school and high school students, but can help learners of every skill level. It is currently available internationally in English, with plans to expand to include additional languages and more features that benefit learning and comprehension.
