Netlify Acquires Stackbit

Netlify, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a platform for modern web development, acquired Stackbit, a provider of a visual editing solution.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

With the acquisition, Netlify will expand its product portfolio, empowering marketers and product managers with the ability to design, create, and edit experiences within composable platforms.

Led by CEO Stackbit enables marketers, product managers and project managers to create and update new and existing websites and applications. It can aggregate content from any headless CMS, content source, or custom data source, creating a streamlined singular workflow for front-end content changes. With Stackbit it is possible to update objects within the UI and write the changes automatically to the originating source.

Led by CEO Matt Biilmann, Netlify is a platform for enterprises to build performant and dynamic websites, e-commerce stores, and web apps by uniting an extensive ecosystem of technologies, services and APIs into one workflow. It has more than 4M developers and over 475 Enterprise customers.
