Sensoneo, a Bratislava, Slovakia-based provider of waste management solutions, raised €6M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Taiwania Capital, with participation from current investors Crowdberry, EIC Fund, and Venture to Future Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into other regions and strengthen its position in global markets.
Led by CEO Martin Basila, Sensoneo is a global enterprise-grade smart waste management solution provider that enables cities, businesses and countries optimize waste collection processes, improve sustainability performance, and create more efficient and cleaner public spaces.
The company’s income comes from three separate divisions:
- comprehensive smart waste collection solutions that include its own sensors,
- optimization of waste collection logistics in factories and deposit refund system solution Deposit Refund System (DRS).
- Intelligent waste monitoring used by cities such as Buenos Aires, Reykjavik, Trieste and Prague, and soon Madrid.
Since its establishment in 2017, the company has provided green tech smart waste solutions that currently assist cities and companies in over 80 countries worldwide.
