GiveCampus Acquires Community Funded

GiveCampus

GiveCampus, a Washington, DC-based provider of a fundraising platform for nonprofit educational institutions, acquired Community Funded, a provider of giving day and crowdfunding technology.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. This is GiveCampus’s first acquisition and leverages a $50m growth investment that the company announced last year.

With the acquisition, GiveCampus will expand the reach of social fundraising to more schools to help them reach, engage, and mobilize their communities.

Founded in 2011 and led by CEO Charlie Lambropoulos, Community Funded is a provider of giving day and crowdfunding technology which has enables schools to raise more than $500m. Its 100-plus customers include the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Utah, American University, the University of Illinois Foundation, and the University of Colorado system. As part of the acquisition, its customer success, customer support, and product and engineering teams will be joining GiveCampus.

Led by CEO Kestrel Linder, GiveCampus is a provider of a fundraising platform for nonprofit educational institutions. Used by more than 1,200 colleges, universities, and K-12 schools, the company’s software, services, and expertise help them raise more money, from more people, at a fraction of the cost of traditional fundraising methods.
