Clearstory (fka Extracker), a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a change order communications tool for the construction business processes, raised $5.5M in funding.
The round was led by GS Futures with participation from existing investors Jackson Square Ventures, Building Ventures and Cloud App Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth trajectory.
Led by Cameron Page, Founder and CEO, Clearstory provides a change order communications tool for general contractors to prevent lost revenue, specialty contractors get paid faster, and teams make financial decisions through access to real-time data in one centralized location. The company has onboarded Specialty Contractors of all sizes across every trade vertical, including KONE Elevators, Cherry Coatings Painting, Performance Contracting Group, TrueTeam Insulation and Conco Concrete. Clearstory also provides real-time integrations with ERP systems, accounting software, project management and cloud storage solutions, including Procore, CMiC, Viewpoint, Sage and others.
The solution currently works with more than 40% of the ENR Top 25 General Contractors. To date, over $5 billion in Change Orders have been shared between commercial construction companies on the Clearstory network.
