2045 Raises $4.2M in Pre-Seed Funding

2045

2045, a NYC-based exclusive network for influential professionals of color, raised $4.2M in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by Benchstrength with participation from CJ McCollum, Miguel McKelvey, AAF, CT Innovations, among others.

The company intends to use the funds to build out its suite of digital tools and programming as well as their NYC clubhouse.

Led by Porter Braswell, co-founder & executive chairman of Jopwell, which was recently acquired by True, 2045 is an exclusive network for influential professionals of color. The network spans digital and physical spaces, including curated peer networks supported by an executive council to advance members’ journeys. The combination of digital tools paired with virtual and in person programming (at 2045’s clubhouse) ensures that influential professionals of color have a community surrounding and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

The company also announced its comprehensive (in-person & digital) membership platform. Those already committed to membership include American Fidelity, Edelman, Ford, McCann, MSD Capital, Ogilvy, Pfizer, and Sagard. There are two membership options: (1) community, which is paid for by the individual, and (2) council where the company underwrites the employee’s fee.
