Healthy.io Raises $50M in Series D Funding

Healthy.io

Healthy.io, a Boston, MA, London, UK and Tel Aviv, Israel-based company which specializes in transforming the smartphone camera into a clinical-grade device, raised $50M in Series D funding.

The round was led by Schusterman Family Investments and is joined by Aleph and other existing shareholders.

The company intends to use the funds for expansion across the U.S. market, where Minuteful Kidney, its clinical-grade kidney test and patient engagement service, has met demand from health plans, health systems, and kidney care management groups.

Led by Yonatan Adiri, CEO and Founder, Healthy.io specializes in transforming the smartphone camera into a medical device. The company’s at-home urinalysis services enable providers and healthcare systems to reach high-risk, previously untested members and help close care gaps. Alongside its urinalysis services, Healthy.io also developed novel computer vision and smartphone-enabled wound image technology to digitize the management of chronic wounds. The company partners with health insurers and providers to integrate Minuteful Kidney in their kidney management programs. Marketed commercially across the United States and the United Kingdom, it is a FDA-cleared, smartphone-powered, at-home kidney test that allows patients to take the test in the privacy of their homes and receive immediate clinical-grade results.

It partners with leading health groups in the U.S. and U.K. to allow clinicians to monitor their patients remotely. Providing clinicians with timely and valuable information and a visual record of the wound over time significantly lowers the risk of deterioration and amputations.
