Freshsound, a Stockholm, Sweden-based self-serve licensing platform for commercially released music, raised €2M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Zenith Venture Capital and Aligned, with participation from Kristina Tunkrans, Erik Segerborg, Gustav Nordlindh, William Olsson and Shiv Prakash.
The company intends to use the funds to go international, while continuing to grow in the Nordic market.
Founded in 2021 by Stevie Gyasi and Sara Larsson, Freshsound helps content creators within commercials, films, TV and gaming to make impactful content – via a self-serve instant licensing platform for commercial music. The licensing platform features pricing algorithms and recommendation solutions to find and license music. This enables entertainment and advertising companies to deliver content for their customers’ needs.
