Teamworks Closes $65M Series E; Acquires Arms Software

Teamworks, a Durham, NC-based enterprise SaaS company serving sports and tactical organizations globally, raised $65M in Series E funding.

The round was led by Dragoneer Investment Group.

The company intends to use the capital to fund M&A and expand its growth into new regions and new areas. In addition to closing their Series E, Teamworks announced the acquisition of Arms Software.

Founded in 2004 by CEO Zach Maurides, Teamworks is an operating system for sports, military, and public safety organizations. Available on a centralized, integrated platform, its product suite provides applications to support recruiting, development, management, individual branding, and community building.

Teamworks continues to expand its global presence with employees across ten countries and offices in London, England, and Brisbane, Australia.

Led by CEO Mike Hurt, Arms is a sports technology company that supports recruiting, compliance, data integration, camps, and process automation functions. The company provides over 400 collegiate athletic departments with tools to recruit talent, manage compliance, automate operations, and streamline camps.

This acquisition allows Teamworks to offer a complete operating system comprising  Hub, INFLCR, Notemeal, Whistle, Communities, Smartabase, Retain, Pulse, and now ARMS.

This recent round brings Teamworks’ total funding to $115M in the last year and $165M overall. The company has a global presence with employees across ten countries and offices in London, England, and Brisbane, Australia.
