Cequence Security Receives Investment From Hewlett Packard Pathfinder and Prosperity7 Ventures

Cequence Security, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of Unified API Protection (UAP) solutions, received an investment from Hewlett Packard Pathfinder, the venture capital program of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and Prosperity7 Ventures.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by Ameya Talwalkar, founder and CEO, Cequence Security has developed Unified API Protection, a solution that unifies API discovery, inventory tracking, dynamic testing, risk analysis and native mitigation with real-time threat protection against ever-evolving API attacks.

Customers use it to protect their APIs and web applications with the most effective and adaptive defense against online fraud, business logic attacks, exploits and unintended data leakage, which enables them to remain resilient in today’s ever-changing business and threat landscape.

The company secures more than 6 billion API calls a day and protects more than 2 billion user accounts across our Fortune 500 customers.

To date, Cequence Security has raised over $100M from top-tier investors including Dell Technologies Capital, HabourVest Partners, ICON Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Shasta Ventures, Telstra Ventures and T-Mobile Ventures.
