Equisoft Secures $125M in Funding

Equisoft

Equisoft, a Montreal, Canada-based digital provider of solutions to the financial industry, raised $125M in funding.

Of this total investment, $70M was from new investors Investissement Québec and the government of Québec (including $36 million from Investissement Québec’s own funds and $34 million from the Fonds pour la croissance des entreprises québécoises (FCEQ)), with the remainder coming from existing long-time investment partners, Export Development Canada (EDC) and Fondaction.

The company intends to use the funds for global expansion, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, further development of its integrated life insurance software platform, and wealth products to better serve its global customer base. 

Founded in 1994 and led by CEO Luis Romero, Equisoft is a provider of insurance and investment digital solutions. The company offers a complete ecosystem of solutions, from front-end applications to back-office services and data migration expertise. Its flagship solutions include SaaS policy administration, CRM, financial needs analysis, financial planning, asset allocation, fund and portfolio analysis, quotes and illustrations, electronic application, agency management systems, as well as customer, agent and broker portals.

The company now serves over 250 financial institutions in 17 countries.
