Sikoia Raises $6M in Seed Funding

Sikoia, a London, UK-based provider of Unified Data Platform (UDP) for counterparty risk assessment, raised $6M in seed funding.

The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $8.3M, was led by US-based MassMutual Ventures, with participation from Coalition Capital, Earlybird and Seedcamp.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Founded by Alexis Rog, Stephen Simmons, and Alastair Bulger, Sikoia is Unified Data Platform (UDP) that enriches and aggregates financial and identity data to streamline compliance and risk processes, such as customer onboarding and verification, or portfolio monitoring. Regulated companies, Fintechs and financial services providers use it to orchestrate and execute their formal risk assessment processes and embed operational efficiencies, delivering faster decisioning and powering best-in-class customer experiences. The platform has several key features:

– A vendor-agnostic provider marketplace, allowing companies to plug-and-play with a global data ecosystem without additional engineering efforts or maintenance.

– A 360° Client Data Portal, providing a view of the customer to help analyse cases quickly and accurately; and case management capabilities to support organisational efficiencies by managing workloads and escalation paths across the team.

– Checklist capabilities, and integrated data tracking and auditing, to allow companies to encode and automate their policies and demonstrate their own compliance.
