Nextkidney, a Bussum, Netherlands-based company focused on improving the quality of life of dialysis patients, raised €11.9M in Series B funding.
The round combined €7.8M investment by investors in France and The Netherlands with a crowdfunding campaign (led by OnePlanetCrowd) raising €4.1M.
The company intends to use the funds for clinical trials and market clearance of its portable device.
Led by CEO Jérôme Augustin, Nextkidney aims to enhance patients’ dialysis experience via its Neokidney™ home hemodialysis device and sorbent technology that reduces fluid usage and power consumption.
