eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY), a San Jose, CA-based global commerce leader, acquired 3PM Shield, a Chicago, IL-based provider of marketplace compliance solutions.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Led by Robert Dunkel, founder and CEO, 3PM Shield provides an advanced AI-based brand protection and compliance software platform enhancing the buyer and seller trust.
With the acquisition, eBay will further its monitoring solutions with technologies designed to prevent the sale of counterfeit items, unsafe products and illegal goods, enhancing its ability to address suspicious or harmful seller behavior, and potentially problematic items.
