Communityx, a Los Angeles, CA-based app that connects people around causes, raised $2M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Fearless Fund, with participation from Goodwater Capital, Techstars, Attorney Ben Crump and influencers like Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition, Baron Davis, and Matt Barnes.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by CEO and Founder Chloe Cheyenne, Communityx provides an app that connects everyday people around the world to take actionable steps on causes they are passionate about. The app features a cause-based community-building tool and a call-to-action tech toolkit that includes petitions, events, and fundraisers. The company is launching the app with the extension to corporate and philanthropic partners enabling them to build digital advocacy campaigns, speed up mobilization efforts and generate impact report analysis for their target audience. Some of the leading cause categories included as part of the launch are racial justice, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, women’s rights, health and human rights issues, civic engagement, education and policy reform.
