Crowdbotics Raises $40M in Series B Funding

Crowdbotics

Crowdbotics, a Berkeley, CA-based company that makes it fast to build complete, scalable apps for business, raised $40M in Series B funding.

The round was led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from Harrison Metal, Jackson Square Ventures, Homebrew, and the House Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to bring more advanced products to market, increase its offerings for enterprise-level organizations, and improve support offerings for existing customers.

Led by CEO Anand Kulkarni, Crowdbotics provides a platform in witch professionals can turn ideas into real code using a matched library of components and a network of on-call experts. Customers can build applications using strategies and reusable modules of code that have worked in the past, and focus custom engineering efforts just on the parts of their application. This makes software development processes more predictable than building from scratch, and helps parts of an organization other than IT plan and launch software applications using IT-approved components and strategies.
