Treble Raises €8M in Seed Funding

Treble Technologies, a Reykjavík, Iceland-based deeptech company which specialises in sound simulation, raised €8M in Seed funding.

This included €5.5m seed round led by Frumtak Ventures, with participation from NOVA and various angel investors, plus a €2.5m European Innovation Council grant.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its digital sound and scale their virtual sound platform.

Founded in 2020 by acoustic engineers, Dr. Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, Trable has developed proprietary technology for sound simulation and spatial audio in virtual environments. The company’s product – a cloud-based virtual sound platform that connects with leading gaming engines and 3D modelling software – enables multiple industries such as construction, automotive, consumer electronics, and the metaverse to design better sound experiences.

Treble users include international architecture studios Henning Larsen and Bjarke Ingels Group, as well as global civil engineering leader COWI.
