Speedinvest Raises €500M for New Funds

Speedinvest

Speedinvest, a Berlin, Germany, London, UK, Paris, France and Vienna, Austria-based venture capital firm, raised €500M for its latest funds.

Institutional investors included New Enterprise Associates (NEA), the European Investment Fund (EIF), and Bpifrance, alongside globally recognized government funds, banks, insurance companies, pension funds, and large family offices. Many of Speedinvest’s most successful founders have also committed funds, including those from Bitpanda, GoStudent, Billie, Planetly, TWAICE, and Yokoy.

€300m is being invested into innovative new pre-Seed and Seed tech startups through its fourth flagship fund, Speedinvest 4, while the remaining capital (€200m) is reserved for selective follow-on co-investments in existing Speedinvest portfolio companies to support their long-term growth.

Speedinvest 4 will also allow the fund to double down on its proven sector-focused strategy, with new investments made across its six dedicated vertical teams: Deep Tech, Fintech, Health, Marketplaces & Consumer, Industrial Tech, and SaaS. Initial investments from the fund include Autone (SaaS, Italy), Drop (Fintech, France / US), Solvo.ai (Deep Tech, UK), The Lowdown (Digital Health, UK), and NeoCarbon (Industrial Tech, Germany).

Alongside the additional €500m in funds, whose 90% was already committed by investors, Speedinvest recently closed its €80M Climate & Industry Opportunity fund. This fund will invest in new climate tech startups addressing sustainability challenges in the industrial sector, while also supporting the firm’s existing sustainability-oriented portfolio.

In total, this new capital will bring Speedinvest’s AUM to more than €1bn.

Led by Oliver Holle, CEO and Managing Partner, Speedinvest is dedicated to investing in Europe’s technology startups with in-house operational experts who are on hand to offer founders ongoing support with growth, HR, and market expansion. Wefox, Bitpanda, TIER Mobility, GoStudent, Wayflyer, Open, CoachHub, Schüttflix, TourRadar, Adverity, and TWAICE are among its portfolio of 250+ companies.
