Makers, a London, UK-based tech talent company, raised £7M in funding.

The round was led by BGF with participation from Forward Partners and Educapital.

The company intends to use the funds to offer a wider variety of tech bootcamp and apprenticeship courses over the next three years.

Founded in 2012 and led by CEO Claudia Harris OBE, Makers identifies potential career switchers without a background in tech, trains them as software engineers and helps place them with companies. Since its founding, the company has trained more than 3,000 people to become software engineers, placing candidates with brands including Google and Deloitte Digital.
