Daylight Raises $3M in Seed Funding

Daylight

Daylight, a provider of an Application Programming Interface (API) that aggregates Web3 perks all in one place, raised $3M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Framework Ventures, and Chapter One, with participation from OpenSea, 6th Man Ventures, Eniac Ventures, Seed Club Ventures, Tomahawk, and Spice Capital, Uncommon Projects, Very Serious Ventures, Nick Beattie, Itamar Lesuisse, Reka, RAZ, Trevor McCedries, Alex Adelman, Alex Zhang, Serafin Lion Engel, Will Papper, Brenner Spear, and Jon Wu.

The company intends to use the funds to further customize its API product to suit the needs of its wallet app customers and grow the Scout community.

Led by CEO Kyle McCollom, Daylight provides an API that aggregates all of Web3 perks that users qualify for based on their wallet address. These abilities include minting derivative NFTs, claiming airdrops, and gaining access to token-gated experiences. Wallet apps and NFT marketplaces use the API to tell users what they can do, boosting user delight, acquisition, and retention. Community tools use the API to distribute token-gated or allow listed mints, claims, or unlocks to relevant users.

The API aggregates Web3 abilities through a variety of methods including indexing on-chain data, integrating data from community tools such as POAP, Snapshot, and Guild, and by receiving submissions from Daylight Scouts, a community that hunts for abilities across the Web3 ecosystem.

Founded in April 2022, Daylight recently demonstrated its API by launching a consumer web app in October, attracting around 14,000 closed beta users and a waitlist of 15,000 users.
