Sabanto, a Chicago, IL-based hardware and software company developing autonomous capabilities in tractors, received an investment from Cooperative Ventures.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to scale turn-key autonomy solutions for farmers and ag retailers.

Led by CEO Craig Rupp, Sabanto is deploying fully autonomous machinery for row crop field operations throughout the U.S. The company is currently focused on retrofitting 60 to 200 horsepower tractors to operate autonomously. Already, they have proven their ability to automate a variety of row crop field operations, including planting, tillage, spraying, and mowing over thousands of acres throughout the Midwest.
