Pinata Raises $10M in Series A Funding

Pinata

Pinata, a New York-based provider of a workforce-optimization platform, raised $10M in Series A funding.

The round was led by M13 and Bullpen Capital. In connection with the fundraise, both Rob Olson of M13 and Ann Lai of Bullpen Capital will join PINATA’s Board of Directors, which also includes Marc Ferrentino, COO of Yext; Mike Morini, CEO of WorkForce Software; Aaron Rudenstine, CEO of ButterflyMX; and PINATA’s co-founder Josh Wand, CEO of ForceBrands.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and further expand its suite of workflow solutions.

Led by CEO Ian Ferguson, PINATA offers SaaS based systematic task-management solutions for teams in the field to optimize compliance, efficiency, and performance. Customers use it as a centralized command center for everyday operations in venues like retail stores, construction sites, warehouses, restaurants, and trade shows. With collaborative tools for goal setting, event planning, staffing, reporting, financial tracking, and data analysis, the company aims to bring benefits typically associated with digital execution — accountability, process automation, and above all ROI measurability — to the analog world.
